In a significant act of solidarity with the Palestinian people, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has allocated three million dollars to aid the reconstruction of the Palestinian town of Hawara and support those affected by recent events.
This initiative will be executed by the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Emirati-Palestinian Friendship Club, as part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts. The UAE has consistently demonstrated its commitment to supporting Palestine through various forms of aid.
A meeting organized by the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi, discussed the implementation of this initiative. Key attendees included Muhammad Ali Al-Shurafa, Head of the Department, and a Palestinian delegation featuring Moeen Dmaidi, Mayor of Hawara Municipality, along with other municipal council members and Ammar Al-Kurd, President of the Emirati-Palestinian Friendship Club. Discussions also covered enhancing cooperation in municipal work between the two sides.
During the meeting, Mohammed Al-Shurafa welcomed the Palestinian delegation, emphasizing the UAE’s leadership's dedication to supporting the Palestinian people and contributing to the redevelopment of Hawara. This initiative reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
